The CryoTone 2A3-WC tube is a power triode with a directly heated cathode and power of 40 Watts of plate dissipation. Far surpassing the headroom of other 2A3 tubes by 25 Watts. The single plate build and increased ratings give this tube the highest reliability and longevity.

 

The sound of this CryoTone is even more detailed than the 300B-WC, which is almost unbelievable.

I found the 5ar4 to be very smooth in my preamp, I liked it so much that I ordered another one, along with the 6sn7 and 2a3 they will be installed on a 2a3 amp.

Hi, tube well received and my previous reference tube Psvane Acme was replaced by CryoTone. Immediate audible effect was achieved, specially in low end - tighter and faster bass. Plus a bit better general definition in all frequency areas.

Shipping was fast. Plugged in the pair into my Supratek 6SN7 Cabernet, first thing I noticed, the highs brighten up, in a good way. Female vocals gained more life, Definitely keeping them in.
