I purchased the Wathen CryoTone tube bundle for my Decware SE84UFO2.1, along with the CryoTone 5AR4-WC rectifier to give me another sonic option. My listening ranges from late-’50s and early-’60s hard bop and West Coast jazz to modern atmospheric alternative music with expansive, layered soundscapes, and these tubes elevated both styles beautifully.
Just as impressive was Don Thomas' customer service. When one tube developed a problem during the warranty period, Don responded promptly, stood behind his product, and made the process completely painless. In an industry where customer service can vary widely, that level of integrity is every bit as valuable as a great product.
